If you are traveling from outside Egypt, here are some important tips to ensure a smooth visit:

Visa Requirements

Currency

Language

Cairo experiences warm and dry weather in May. Temperatures can range from 19°C (66°F) in the mornings to 33°C (91°F) during the day, so be sure to wear lightweight, comfortable clothing, and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.

Transportation in Cairo

Cairo is a bustling city with several transportation options to get around. Here’s how you can navigate the city during your visit:

Airport Transfers

Cairo International Airport (CAI) is the main gateway for international travelers. The airport is about 30-45 minutes from the Egypt International Exhibition Centre (EIEC)by car, depending on traffic. Taxis and ride-hailing apps (such as Uber and Careem) are available at the airport. It’s recommended to use ride-hailing apps for a safer and more reliable journey.

Public Transport

Cairo has a well-developed metro system, which is an affordable option for getting around the city. The Cairo Metro is a fast and reliable way to travel, especially during peak traffic hours. However, for convenience and comfort, taxis or ride-hailing services are recommended for visitors unfamiliar with the area.

Taxis and Ride-Hailing

Uber and Careem are widely available in Cairo and are commonly used by locals and visitors. You can download the apps to book rides, which can be more cost-effective and comfortable than traditional taxis.

Shuttle Services

Some hotels may offer shuttle services to and from the expo venue. Be sure to check with your accommodation to see if this service is available.
